The focus of this semester-long project was to create a dishwater line based on the history, culture, and cuisine of a particular country. I chose Sweden because of its rich history of cultivation and design. The collection is named after the Sarek National Park in Sweden that includes the expansive Sarektjåkkå mountain range.
This line is made from earthenware clay and the main design theme is reductiveness. Accompanying the dishes is a set of table utensils made out of resin and cast in silicone molds, as well as three elevated wooden appetizer platters. 05/2020
